Geotechnical study in Sant Jordi/San Jorge

In the municipality of Sant Jordi/San Jorge, hard strata predominate, such as limestones, dolomites and marbles, providing a stable base and high bearing capacity for construction. The secondary horizons of fine sands and silts, which occur with some frequency, can alter the local geotechnical response and must be properly identified in order to avoid foundation problems, whereas the minor presence of compact gravels and sands locally improves the support conditions.
