Types of ground in Tordoia
In Tordoia, the dominant geotechnical subsoil is formed by slates and schists, accompanied to a lesser extent by outcrops of granite, gneiss and other igneous rocks. These lithologies imply good bearing capacity and stable behaviour for foundations, although the fracturing properties and the possible development of near-surface aquifers in localised areas must be considered. Given the absence of expansive clay soils, the risk of expansivity is ruled out in the surrounding area, allowing focus mainly on the heterogeneity of the parent rock and on controlling local permeability to ensure the durability of the foundations.
