In San Pablo de los Montes, the ground is mainly composed of granite, gneiss and other igneous rocks, which provide a base with high bearing capacity and stable behaviour for the foundations of buildings. These materials have very low permeability, which limits water infiltration and reduces the risk of differential settlements, although small shallow aquifers may exist.
