In Saldaña, the soil profile is characterised mainly by compacted gravels and sands, which provides a solid foundation with good bearing capacity, suitable for shallow strip or pad footings and with low propensity for differential settlement. The secondary presence of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch strengthens overall stability, while the occasional areas of fine sands and silts may require design adjustment due to their lower compactness.
