Estudio geotécnico in Roda de Berà

In Roda de Berà, soils of compacted gravels and sands predominate, representing more than half of the ground analysed, accompanied by frequent outcrops of limestones, dolomites and marbles. These lithologies provide good bearing capacities for conventional foundations, and their low permeability may favour a shallow foundation; however, the presence of deep aquifers must be taken into account during the project planning phase.

Seismicity in the area is very low, with only 4 isolated events and a maximum magnitude of 1.7, which practically rules out this factor as a relevant structural constraint. The substratum is not clayey, eliminating the risk of expansivity; however, the possible presence of karst in the limestones and dolomites makes detailed verification essential before carrying out any foundation, as it may influence stability and the design of the geotechnical project.
