In Rairiz de Veiga, the dominant subsoil is composed of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch, which account for more than half of the ground, facilitating an adequate bearing capacity and allowing conventional direct foundations. Areas with overconsolidated clays and marls show firm soils with low compressibility, which reinforces stability.
