In Ontinyent, the ground is predominantly formed by limestones, dolomites and marbles, compact rocks with high geotechnical competence. These formations confer good bearing capacity to the ground, facilitating shallow foundation solutions in most cases. The absence of expansive clays in the substratum rules out risks associated with ground expansivity, leaving as the determining factor and one to be verified the possible presence of karst-related phenomena for the correct selection of the foundation solution.
