In Nambroca, the geological substrate is characterised mainly by the presence of granite, gneiss and other igneous rocks, which make up almost 78% of the ground materials. These lithologies are recognised for their high bearing capacity and volumetric stability, which favours a shallow foundation without special requirements from the geotechnical point of view. The occasional content of carbonate materials, such as limestones and dolomites, as well as the presence of scant quantities of slates, schists, and overconsolidated clays, do not substantially alter the favourable general soil conditions for ordinary construction.

Seismicity in the area is very low, with barely 7 events over the last 30 years and a maximum magnitude of 1.9, which limits the need for specific measures against seismic risk in structural design. In addition, there is no risk of karstification or of expansive soils, since the predominant substrate is not clayey. The main geotechnical factor to consider in Nambroca will be the low permeability of the materials, which may influence the presence of local groundwater, although it does not constitute a limiting constraint for conventional foundations.
