In the municipality of Laxe, the predominant geotechnical substrate consists of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch, which represents more than 75% of the soil composition. These formations offer a good bearing capacity, although the secondary presence of slates and schists may affect the uniformity of settlement. Areas with fine sands and silts, although infrequent, require special attention, as their bearing capacity is lower and they may exhibit a certain degree of compressibility that limits the foundation depth.

Therefore, the geotechnical study in Laxe should focus fundamentally on correctly characterising the lithological heterogeneity and on identifying shallow aquifers that may influence ground behaviour under load.
