In La Fuliola, the dominant substrate is mainly made up of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch, together with the significant presence of compact gravels and sands. These materials, characterised by good compaction and low deformability, generally provide an adequate bearing capacity for shallow or semi-deep foundations. The typical low permeability of these formations implies that, although aquifers may exist at depth, customary foundations are not conditioned by drag-related phenomena or deformations associated with water, thereby facilitating the geotechnical design of new buildings.
