Although muds and peats are occasional, they are not suitable as a bearing level for foundations due to their low strength and high compressibility.

Seismic activity in the municipality is classified as high, with 200 events over 30 years, although the maximum magnitude recorded (Mmax 3.8) remains moderate. There are no signs of karst in the subsoil, and the presence of expansive clays is mainly limited to areas exposed to certain climatic conditions, which reduces the overall risk. The main constraint for the geotechnical study in Jun lies in the coexistence of low-compressibility materials and the need to avoid areas of muds or peats as a foundation base.
