Estudio geotécnico in Frades

In the municipality of Frades, soils formed by sandstones, conglomerates and flysch predominate, followed by slates and schists. These lithologies generally show good mechanical strength, which supports an adequate bearing capacity for shallow or semi-deep foundations. The non-clayey substratum rules out the presence of risks associated with expansivity. Consequently, the main geotechnical constraint is related to identifying stratigraphic heterogeneities and managing the possible surface flow of water, rather than to seismic or expansive risks.
