Types of ground in Favara

In Favara, the dominant subsoil is made up of carbonate formations such as limestones, dolomites and marbles, followed by detrital materials such as sandstones, conglomerates and flysch. This geological profile, together with the occasional presence of fine sands, silts and compacted gravels, indicates a high bearing capacity in most ground conditions, which allows conventional shallow (direct) foundations to be considered in many areas.
