Estudio geotécnico in El Ronquillo

In El Ronquillo, the predominant geological substrate is mainly composed of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch. These materials cover almost the entire area and are identified by their consolidated nature and good mechanical properties. These soils usually provide suitable bearing capacities for standard foundations, provided that compact thicknesses are respected and altered or fractured zones are avoided. The lithological characteristics make it possible to address different types of shallow foundation, optimising costs and structural safety.

Seismicity in El Ronquillo is very low, with only a single event recorded in the last 30 years with a maximum magnitude of 1.7, which implies an essentially negligible seismic impact from a structural standpoint. There is no presence of karst phenomena or risk arising from ground expansivity, since no problematic clays are mentioned in the area. The main constraint for the geotechnical study lies in characterising the homogeneity of the rock mass to ensure the proper transfer of loads to the ground, without other relevant geotechnical risks.
