Types of ground in Dosbarrios
In Dosbarrios, soils predominate comprising sandstones, conglomerates and flysch, followed by outcrops of calcareous and dolomitic rocks, together with the occasional presence of gypsum, anhydrite and salts. The geotechnical behaviour of these materials, which are mostly compact and of low permeability, generally provides good bearing capacity for building projects, although the occasional presence of gypsum and salts introduces a potential dissolution risk that must be assessed specifically. The compact gravels and sands, although infrequent, also provide favourable conditions for shallow foundations, whereas white/soft expansive clays have a minimum occurrence and do not represent a significant constraint.
