Types of ground in Dima
In Dima, soils are predominantly composed of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch, which make up more than 60% of the substrate, accompanied by significant calcareous formations such as limestones, dolomites and marbles. These lithological types often provide good bearing capacity and favourable conditions for the design of shallow or near-deep foundations; however, in specific areas fine sand and silt layers may occur, requiring a detailed assessment of their mechanical behaviour, particularly with regard to their consolidation and stability as a support level.

The non-clayey substrate removes concern about expansive soils, so the main factor to be controlled will be the possible existence of karst structures.
