In Campanario, the ground is dominated by slates and schists, which represent more than 65% of the formations, accompanied to a lesser extent by granite, gneiss and occasional deposits of compacted gravels and sands. These materials provide good bearing capacity for buildings, with the presence of compact soils being particularly favourable for the execution of shallow, direct foundations.
