Nevertheless, the possible presence of karst in the calcareous substrates makes it essential to verify the existence of cavities or dissolution before defining the foundation type, as these can compromise stability. The non-clayey substrate allows expansivity risks to be ruled out, with possible karst activity being the main conditioning factor for any foundation project in the area.
