Types of ground in Badajoz

In Badajoz, the subsoil is mainly composed of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch, which make up more than half of the materials present and provide good bearing capacity conditions, ideal for shallow direct foundations. The risk of expansivity is ruled out by the predominant substrate type, so the main geotechnical constraint in this area is the need to verify stability against karst and maintain appropriate seismic considerations.
