Types of ground in Alguaire
In Alguaire, deposits of sandstone, conglomerates and flysch predominate: rock materials with good bearing capacity and consolidation, which favour the execution of shallow, direct foundations in most cases. Crushed gravel and compacted sands, which occur only occasionally, also provide favourable conditions, although it is advisable to check the density and local groundwater level, due to the variable permeability.
