Estudio geotécnico in Alberite

In Alberite, sandstone, conglomerate and flysch formations predominate, representing more than 70% of the geotechnical subsoil. Occasional areas of compact gravels and sands are also found, while the water masses have a limited presence. These materials generally have adequate bearing capacity, although the typically low permeability of the ground can generate shallow aquifers and affects drainage and hydrological behaviour. For foundations, the support level must be established by avoiding potential saturated layers, maximising safety against possible differential movements.

Seismicity in Alberite is very low, with only one recorded event every 30 years and a maximum magnitude of 1,5, so it does not represent a significant structural requirement. The expansive clays detected are subordinate and, since they occur in climatic zones without an anhydrous deficit, the risk of expansivity is low. The main geotechnical constraint is the low permeability, which may affect foundation drainage and should be considered particularly in the presence of a high water table.
