In Abanto y Ciérvana-Abanto Zierbena, the geological substrate is formed mainly by limestones, dolomites and marbles, together with significant proportions of sandstones, conglomerates and flysch. This lithic environment directly influences the ground bearing capacity, generally providing high values, especially in the carbonated areas.
